Penelope was born in 1975 in Treviso as a small textile publishing company.
What does the term textile publishing mean?
The term "publishing" does not refer to textile printing , but to the sector in which high-end fabrics and trimmings with high stylistic content for furnishings, curtains and carpets are created, manufactured and marketed.
In some ways, we can say that the function of the textile publisher is more or less the same as that of the stylist in the fashion field: the task is to study the collection, design it and develop it , and then entrust its production exclusively to producers specialists, and offer it to showrooms, high-level upholsterers and the high-end furniture industry.
Penelope Tessuti was born with this intent: to create unique collections for textile furnishings that represent the values of Made in Italy and its territory, the Veneto. A region full of elegance, history, culture and wealth, a source of continuous and refined creative stimuli. From its magical mountains to the sea and the lagoon which still offers enchanting views.
